Cort’s art is unique in many ways, but most obvious is its ability to present the observer with a multiplicity of perspectives seen from the same image. Every time you turn the piece you are presented with moving elements and striking colors that trigger memories, every memory is connected to a feeling, each feeling can trigger even more memories. Each framing, meaning the top and bottom placements of the image, brings with it an entirely different view of each element within the image, which then re-produces an overall different image. Thus, with different visual markers acquired, different emotions and memories are triggered. A new image appears and a new game, so to speak, can be played. For the Eye, it is only a matter of playing.

When finished with the first image, click the arrow to see the second, stare at it for a while, take what you will. Then the third, then the fourth. As each image is turned one-quarter, the top now becomes the side. Each image becomes something altogether new or maybe just a continuum of the previous. It is the Eye of the Beholder who decides. At the very least we hope you will have fun with this discovery.
